Jon oversees firm management and the investment selection, research, and asset allocation decisions. He is a voting member of the Investment Committee. Jon received his B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in Finance, Real Estate and Marketing. He is a CFA Charterholder and Board Member for the CFA Society of Los Angeles.
Cyrus co-manages the investment selection, research, and asset allocation decisions. He is a voting member of the Investment Committee, and the firm's Chief Compliance Officer. Cyrus received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, and a J.D. from Boston College Law School. Cyrus is a Member of the NY State Bar Association, and a CFA Charterholder.
Shawn leads the firm’s family office team. He is a voting member of the Investment Committee where he participates in investment selection, research, and asset allocation decisions. Shawn received his M.B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles, is a CFA Charterholder, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and an Enrolled Agent.
Lisa joined the firm in 1983. With over thirty years experience in the investment management field, she is responsible for firm operations, portfolio trading, client reporting and implementing compliance procedures. She received a B.A. degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an M.B.A. from California State University, Northridge.
Dr. Rugg founded Charlesworth & Rugg, Inc. in 1976. He received his M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from UCLA and has served on the faculty of University of California, Los Angeles, Santa Clara University, and Pepperdine University. Before founding Charlesworth & Rugg, Inc. he was an economist for the Rand Corporation.
Jamie oversees firm wealth management and financial planning activities, and participates in investment analysis and research. Prior to joining the firm, Jamie led operations and strategy at a technology startup, and held numerous management positions in operations, training and development. She received her B.S. from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, and her Certificate in Personal Financial Planning from UCLA. She is the Pro Bono Director and President-Elect of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Los Angeles. Jamie is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
Aaron oversees Highline's Corporate Services division and is responsible for assisting business owners in expanding their operations by focusing on employee retention, mitigating risk and utilizing tax saving strategies. Prior to joining the firm, Aaron managed the Corporate Services Department at American Financial Network and was a Senior Client Relationship Manager at Prudential Retirement Services serving high net worth clients. Aaron received a B.A. in Economics from California State University, Northridge and he is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF).
Hugh assists in leading the firm’s business development and social media. He participates in investment selection, research, and asset allocation decisions, and is a member of the firm's Investment Committee. Prior to joining Highline, Hugh worked for Wells Fargo Advisors for 14 years. There he served as a portfolio manager working for one of the most successful teams with a focus on ultra-high net worth clients. Hugh received his M.B.A. from Loyola Marymount University.
Andy oversees the growth and servicing of high net-worth and Institutional client relationships for the firm. Over the past 20 years, he has been working with and advising successful families and Institutions on their wealth and assets at various global financial institutions, including BNY Mellon and Northern Trust. Andy is also a member of the Investment Committee and integrates a customized planning perspective on the investment management process. He received his B.A. from the University of California, Davis, is a current CFA charterholder and an active member of the CFA Society of Los Angeles.
David has been a part of the team since 2001, and his primary responsibilities are in client liaison services and business development. David has broad experience as an executive in the insurance, accounting and finance industries and was previously President of Heritage Insurance Group. He received his undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School of Business.
David received his B.A degree in Mathematics from National C.K.U. in Tainan, Taiwan, and M.A. degree in Economics from CU in Boulder, Colorado. He earned his CFP® designation in 2000, his CLU in 1989, and has been a member of the American Academy of Actuaries since 1980. Before joining Highline, David ran a successful financial planning practice at Northwestern Mutual for over 30 years. Prior to Northwestern Mutual, he worked as a casualty actuary specializing in loss reserve analysis and financial modeling. He also served as the Chairman of Insurance at T.K.U. in Taipei, Taiwan between 1983 and 1985.
Carol joined Charlesworth & Rugg, Inc., now dba Highline Wealth Partners in 1988 and is responsible for securities trading and client reporting. Carol helps design and maintain the many proprietary databases used to produce economic and financial spreadsheets and detailed analytical reports.
